Nine enneagram types placed in a circle with lines connecting the types in a star like pattern, all enclosed in a circle

The Enneagram is a personality typing system that describes nine core types of human motivation and behavior, each with its own way of seeing the world, relating to others, and managing emotions.  Use this section to explore how your Enneagram type influences your spiritual growth and ministry style.

If the Enneagram does not resonate with you, advance to next section for Personality PLUS

How It’s Used

Spiritually:

  • Recognize where your false self-patterns show up (defensiveness, ego needs)

  • Grow in awareness of your core sin tendencies (e.g., pride, fear, anger)

  • Invite the Holy Spirit to transform motives, not just actions

Relationally:

  • Increase empathy by seeing how others are wired

  • Understand sources of conflict and miscommunication

  • Support team unity through better communication styles

Important Cautions

  • It’s descriptive, not prescriptive (you’re not locked into a type)

  • It’s a tool, not truth — meant to serve growth, not define identity

  • Some Christian leaders raise concerns if it’s used apart from biblical discernment or discipleship
